essiac tea Organic 4 Herb Rx

Made with certified organic herbs • 4 oz loose herbal blend • Makes approximately 4 quarts

Our traditional four-herb Essiac blend contains burdock root, sheep sorrel, Indian rhubarb and slippery elm. We use cut-and-sifted herbs rather than powdered herbs.

Each order includes:

• 4 ounces by weight of loose herbs—approximately 1 cup.

• Four extra-large tea bags for convenient preparation.

• Our preparation and information booklet.

Prepare one quart at a time by dividing the herbs into four equal portions. The full package makes approximately one gallon, or 128 fluid ounces, before evaporation and straining losses.

Our Four-Herb Blend

All four herbs are certified organic.

Traditional Preparation

1. Divide the package into four equal portions by weight—approximately 1 ounce of herbs per portion.

2. Place one portion into an extra-large tea bag.

3. Bring 1 US quart of water—approximately 946 mL—to a boil.

4. Add the filled tea bag and return briefly to a boil. Remove from the heat and cover.

5. Allow the herbs to infuse according to the detailed instructions in the included booklet, then reheat as directed and remove the tea bag.

6. Cool promptly, transfer to a clean, heat-safe glass container and refrigerate.

Follow the booklet’s complete preparation, cooling and storage instructions. Keep prepared tea refrigerated and make small batches. Discard tea with mold, an unusual odor or other signs of spoilage.

Yield and Serving Information

One package makes approximately 128 fluid ounces of prepared tea using the four-quart recipe. This equals approximately 128 one-fluid-ounce portions.

This is a yield calculation, not a recommended daily dose or a guarantee of shelf life. The amount used and any additional dilution will affect how long the package lasts. Follow the product label and your healthcare professional’s advice.
