Has White Plastic tight fitting lid. Caution when using the lid when fermenting as pressure will build up and glass may break. Tap the spigot to release pressure.

The Brewing or fermenting capacity of a one gallon jar is about 3 quarts. On a Single Stage ferment that produces about 1 cup of kombucha tea per day. Typically good for one person. We have a large selection of glass , plastic, wood, porcelain, and stainless steel brewers up to 13 gallon sizes with or without spigots.
Typically one-gallon as a single-stage ferment takes from 6 to 8 days at 80F to be properly fermented.
NOTE: his is regular glass not tempered. Glass breaks. Be careful Glass is FRAGILE. The filled glass container weights about 8 pounds. DO NOT MOVE or CARRY by the SPIGOT. Do not over-tighten the spigot. Comes with 2 silicon washers. Use one on the inside and one on the outside.
