Although it's convenient to use capsules, the full benefit cannot be achieved and actually may damage the stomach and cause reaction.  A tincture or a powder ( added to water ) should be used. A full strength dose is one teaspoon of powder mixed into a glass of warm water. Despite the initial discomfort, it is critical that the cayenne come in contact with the tongue as the cayenne acts as a metabolic catalyst.

Pure Kombucha Mushroom Cayenne is well suited for for DEFICIENCY conditions. Cayenne focuses on the Spleen's energy and to break through stagnations arising from a deficiency. Symptoms include: Deficiency of energy and lowered body resistance. Emaciation, listlessness, lassitude, shortness of breath, pallor, insomnia, poor memory, spontaneous and night sweating, nocturnal enuresis, alleviated by pressure, feel better after a bowel movement.

We use 180,000 HU pure cayenne. That's is really hot (but not the hottest on the market). By comparison Tabasco Sauce  (good stuff) is about 40,000 HU. You can make Cool Cayenne by adding 1 part peppermint or ginger to 1 part Cayenne. Cayenne's only side effects are nausea and vomiting if you take too much cayenne before you build up a tolerance to it. The way that you build tolerance to cayenne is to start with a 1/4 teaspoon cayenne in water 3x a day, next day 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne, and so on until you are up to 1 teaspoon of cayenne in water 3x a day, with meals. If you are sensitive to cayenne, just take it slower, 2 days at 1/4 teaspoon, and so on. If you feel some nausea coming on, just take a little ginger or peppermint as an antidote and that stops it. Milk or yogurt will quickly cool the burn.

Fresh Ginger according o TCM is hot and pungent its function is to  1. Warms the center and expels cold: Used to treat chest and abdominal pain and distention, and vomiting or diarrhea due to interior cold blocking the middle associated with deficiency or excess. 2. Restores Yang: Used to treat cold limbs and extreme weakness associated with devastated yang. 3. Warms the lungs and transforms phlegm: Used to treat cold Phlegm coughing and panting. 4. Unblocks the channels and stops bleeding: Used to treat bleeding associated with cold obstructing the channels.

Peppermint according o TCM Releases the exterior, disperse Wind-Heat: Used to treat flu and colds causing fever, headache, and cough, sore throat, and red eyes. Vents rashes: used in the early stages of rashes with dormant papules such as measles. Smoothes the Liver qi: Used to treat constrained Liver qi with pressure or fullness in the chest or flanks, depression or angers easily, and menstrual irregularities including dysmenorrhea.
