LAB stands for Lactic Acid Bacteria.
Our Liquid Pack is an active source of lactobacillus bacteria. As LAB are self-carbonating, bloating may occur and  and we recommend refrigeration as soon as possible.
 
There are hundreds of LAB. As a liquid blend they are in a constant flux and will rise and fall dependent upon food, temperature and domination. The following LAB species we believe are present; lactobacillus acidophilus, lactobacillus casei, lactobacillus  hilgardi, lactobacillus bulgaricus, lactobacillus caucasicus, lactobacillus lactis, lactobacillus brevis, lactobacillus delbreukii, lactobacillus kefiranofaciens, lactobacillus kefyri, and the following yeast strains; Saccharomyces boulardii and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. We do not guarantee the amount or quantity of any given species. We do guarantee LAB will be active and alive. And of course we unconditionally guarantee your satisfaction.
 
It is not our intention that this be used as a single source for fermenting. We recommend that you add this liquid LAB Blend to your existing ferment (Japanese Water Crystals, Ginger Beer Plant, Water-Kefir, Milk Kefir, or Kombucha Mushroom Tea, or pickling brew) to enhance and add dimension to a particular ferment. All ferments are picky. and may go in different directions than we intend. As a general rule if a ferment is great an wonderful - keep doing what you've been doing. We strongly recommend not to do this to your primary ferment  - use a extra experimental ferment for the LAB Blend.
