Cloth and Extra Large Rubber Band

Our Fine Mesh Cloth mesures 18 inches x 18 inches.

In place of our cloth you can use a tight weave cotton material like a cotton t-shirt. Our extra large rubber bands are size 117 available at most office supply store. 

 

Run a hot iron over the cloth to home sanitize

 

Be sure the cloth stays Dry. If a cloth gets wet, the dampness will pull microbes that are on the outside into the ferment as the liquid condenses.

 

Do not use cheesecloth with a large mesh as too many microbes and bugs can get through.. Cheesecloth is great for filtering.
