KOMBUCHA can also be dried and was often (I'm told) used as shoe leather. Nowadays people use it for drum heads and leather craft. After a KOMBUCHA has air dried about 95%, and is flat as a board but still very flexible, you can put it on your drum and let it finish drying. You can also create small Kombucha-leather amulet pouches and other leather products. The DRIED KOMBUCHA is actually tough and strong as leather but easier to work with when sewing in designs, etc. except holes once punched into it won't re-close as leather would.

Pure Pressed Kombucha Extract

Within the Kombucha Mushroom the pro-biotic bacteria and yeasts live on their own level separated by layers of mucopolysaccharides construction. You can actually see their strata on the sides of the mushroom. Like a mini hi-rise of floors which the different bacteria and yeast live. The mushroom is not a side effect of the kombucha tea ferment, it is the purpose of the ferment. The Kombucha mushrooms itself is where the beneficial bacteria congregate. This swollen saccharide mushroom, along with plenty of nutrients is what we press out into our Pure Pressed Kombucha Extract.

Recommended for Diabetics, Candidasis, IRB sufferers and those who can not tolerate the sugar of kombucha tea or the trouble of brewing their own. Suggested dosage: 10 drops per 100 pounds 3-4 times a day. Taken with 4—8 oz fresh pure water. To lose weight take 30 minutes before meals. After meals to regain or normalize weight. Mix with honey, your favorite fruit juice; Apple Cider, Cranberry, or flavorful vinegars; Balsamic, Raspberry Garlic or create your own. Add zest to water bottles, salads, soups stews, potatoes & vegetables. Safe for cats, dogs and horses.

Alcohol Extracted Kombucha (or alcohol added) is not identical to kombucha tea. Yet remarkable affects have been claimed. Alcohol extraction contributes to Polysaccharides, which are not water soluble, and are considerably healthy. This only applies to extracting the mushrooms themselves, and not simply adding some alcohol to the pressed extract. We soak our mushrooms in organic grape alcohol (from the Santa Cruz Mountains) a full 60 days to achieve this effect.

Alcohol should be less than 15% by volume.
A 20% alcohol (by volume) solution will kill the probiotic yeasts and bacteria. (preventing further fermentation) and eliminating any potential probiotic effects. The advantage are in preventing possible cross contamination (minor risk), preventing squidles and those unsightly globs from forming (major distraction and nuisance, but healthy stuff really) and the addition of polysaccharides.
To use vodka, gin or whiskey, the percentage of alcohol is expressed as proof. Divide the proof by 1/2 to find the percent alcohol. Therefore 80 Proof vodka = 40% alcohol by volume.
For example:
equal parts (80 proof) vodka + pure pressed kombucha extract

[for example 4 fluid ounces of vodka + 4 fluid ounces kombucha extract]

equals 8 fluid ounces which is;
50% pure kombucha
20% alcohol, (vodka)
30% water, (from vodka)

“D1 Drops” and “Extracts” are not the same.

Remember Kombucha Pressed "Extract" is not an extract but refers to the simple pressing (extraction) of the kombucha mushroom. The reference to "Drops" has been taken from Guenther Franks book as he described Dr Rudolph Sklenar's "D1 Drops". D1 is ascribed to a homeopathic preparation of a tincture at the first level of potenization (homeopathy discovered by Dr Heinemann).

Kombucha D1 Drops. In “Kombucha Healthy Beverage and Natural Remedy from the far East” Guenther Franks relates that a Dr Sklenar achieved astonishing therapeutic results with Kombucha D1 Drops. Dr Sklenar prepared his remedy like this: “kombucha mixed in a solvent to obtain a tincture. One drop of the tincture is mixed with 9 parts of a solvent to achieve a ratio of 1:10 and the mixture is strongly shaken. This shaking process is known as succussion. (see diagram below) The final bottle is labeled as "D1." Detailed case studies of this process is discussed in his nieces book." Tea Fungus Kombucha. The Natural Remedy its Significance in Cases of CANCER and other Metabolic Diseases" by Rosina Fasching.
Since Kombucha D1 drops do contain kombucha, they are not a true homeopathic preparation - as yet. Higher potencies (each successive succussion will potenize the remedy an additional time. Doing this at least eight more times is at the level where most homeopathic remedies are sold. At this level there is literally nothing left of the original kombucha extract - except for the pure energy.

Take one drop of a tincture / extract and add to a vial that only has 9 drops of a solvent like Willard Water, or distilled water. If you are not going to use your remedy right away it is suggested to use 10% alcohol by volume of as a preservative. (plain water is subject to mild)

Start with the vial in your hand in the upright bent elbow position and quickly hit down with a thud-preferably into a leather bound book. This allows a cushioning as well as the necessary recoil action to follow through. Count each strike, allow a moment for the recoil as well as the intent and repeat. Higher potenities are created with each succession.

Succussion (potentize) describes the homeopathic term that transfers the energy of a medicinal. Homeopathy uses the principle of Like treats Like. (Cold to treat Cold). TCM mainly-not always treats Allopathic (Cold with Heat).

Kombucha D1 Drops (homeopathic) are available in liquid or pellet form.

Kombuchal

Our Kombuchal is prepared in the German tradition using our own organic kombucha mushroom tea and our low heat vacuum distillation. Kombuchal was noted for its wondrous results, hence its patent. The World Wars interfered with further development . (IMO).
This preparation is biologically inactive. And unlike all the other developments, was actually sweeter, as some of the harsher acids were evaporated, and even more pleasant when calcium was added. Interesting that Dr Robert Barefoot (Calcium Factor) discovered that mineral rich coral calcium PLUS kombucha could cure 200 degenerative diseases.

In a Independent lab test of our own Kombuchal (using a vacuum distillation, low heat, no calcium added) tested over FIVE TIMES the gluconic acid compared to the typical kombucha mushroom tea brew.
