In “Kombucha Healthy Beverage and Natural Remedy from the far East” Guenther Franks relates that astonishing therapeutic results were achieved with Kombucha D1 Drops by Dr Sklenar. His remedy was prepared like this: “kombucha mixed in a solvent to obtain a tincture. One drop of the tincture is mixed with 9 parts of a solvent to achieve a ratio of 1:10 and the mixture is strongly shaken. This shaking process is known as succussion. The final bottle is labeled as "D1." Detailed case studies of this process is discussed in his nieces book. Our Kombucha D1 Drops are made from our own organic kombucha mushroom along the lines suggested in the 1931 German patented Kombuchal. Our Kombuchal Mother Tincture produces a Concentrated Kombucha Tea Extract. Our last lab analysis (May 2007 by San Rafael Chemical Services, Inc) showed a superior concentration of 35.4 g/L acetic acid, 53.0 g/L gluconic acid, and 2.97 g/L 2-keto-Gluconic acid. Note: 2-keto-Gluconic acid has often been (mis) identified as Glucuronic Acid by others. The typical Kombucha tea in the Cornell Study had a tendency to produce 3.3% total acid, 0.7% acetic acid, 4.8% glucose, and 0.6% ethanol after a nine-day fermentation. (no lactic acid, gluconic acid about 1.4 g/L). The average pH was 2.5. This would indicate that our Mother Tincture is about 35 Times more concentrated than the typical home kombucha fermented tea.

We then take our Kombucha Mother Tincture and mix it with a solvent. Here we use UPS CERTIFIED ORGANIC GRAPE ALCOHOL. We proudly use only Alchemical Solutions' 190 proof neutral organic grape alcohol that is made from certified organic wine produced in the Santa Cruz mountains of California. We feel that grape sugars are unique, and because of their unique actions, grape alcohol does a superior job of extraction. In addition, organic grape alcohol is hypo-allergenic and guaranteed 100% free of genetic modification. Alchemical Solutions' Spirits are double distilled in stainless steel and double filtered to assure the highest level of purity. Each lot is tested by an independent lab to assure us that it meets USP (United States Pharmacopoeia) standards. Not all-pure alcohol is certified as USP grade; only 190 proof and 200 proof pure ethanol, which meets or exceeds the stringent standards of the USP. The only other ingredient is pure Distilled Water. The solution is then spray dried onto our Succrose/Lactose # 40 pills.

For those that may have experienced some adverse reactions to the regular brewed kombucha tea, we believe this version of kombucha prepared in the homeopathic fashion and in pellet form is the safest yet most effective version of kombucha.
