Although TST has not yet been reviewed by the FDA (US Food & Drug Administration), it was extensively reviewed and approved by the EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency) for use in another product. The EPA had to consider TST’s ocular (eye) toxicity, dermal (skin) toxicity and oral (swallowing) toxicity. In fact, the EPA gave TST its highest safety rating; a Category 4.

Still, Genisil, like any therapeutic product, does have general precautions.

• Do not use Genisil if you are allergic to silver.
• Genisil is for topical use only. Limited use on lips and mouth may be permissible in cases of cold sores, etc. In case of accidental ingestion, if followed by an upset stomach, seek professional medical assistance.
• Keep out of reach of children. Consult a physician prior to use with children under 2-years of age.
• Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing.
• In case of deep puncture wounds, consult a physician. Discontinue use and consult a physician if condition worsens, if symptoms persist for more than ten days, if symptoms clear up and occur again within a few days, or if a rash or other allergic reaction develops.
• Cover treated area to prevent possible staining of clothes or if ointment will be exposed to sunlight. Direct sunlight, immediately after application, may cause ointment to yellow or darken of the ointment. Discolored ointment is not harmful and can be washed off with soap and water.
• Use only as directed.
• Do not use in combination with other topical ointments, creams or topical medications without physician's approval.
• Genisil is sold without claims. All reports of its efficacy are attributed to third parties, including customers and physicians. Genisil has not been evaluated or approved by the US Food & Drug Administration.
